How to Apply Products to Leather Shoes

Dirt and other debris can easily embed into leather, so you need to clean your leather shoes and boots before you start conditioning them. Shoe Brushes can be used to easily remove excess dirt and debris. Caked on dirt should be removed first using a damp cloth and allowed to dry before applying any condtioner or polish.

To effectively treat your shoes always remove any shoelaces from your shoe before you start. This is the best way to clean the tongue of the shoe and avoid staining the laces.

When using shoe conditioners, polishes or creams on smooth leather footwear apply the product evenly with a brush or a lint free soft cloth. Once the treatment has properly dried, simply buff using a different soft cloth or natural bristle brush.
